Major Strategies
Five major groups National Tax-Exempt Entities (NTEE) represent broadly aligned interest areas with community outcome strategies at a population level. These outcomes work as a strategic roadmap to achieve results—each major group “layers” philanthropic interests with long-term outcomes and lead partners.
Education

Arts, Culture, and Humanities

- Native Arizona communities advance their cultural knowledge and arts to build and strengthen relationships.
- Every individual has access to a well-resourced public library from which to learn, be inspired, and enhance a collective sense of place through the trusted information, ideas, and stories it contains about our diverse natural and cultural heritage.
- Individuals can access responsibly preserved, locally managed, and stewarded arts, culture, and humanities organizations.
- Arts, culture, and humanities are integrated into strategies that promote the well-being and resilience of people and communities.[1]

Human Services
A community where every person has equitable access to achieve their full potential for health and well-being across their lifespan, including the ability to be born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age in safety and health. (CDC- Healthy by 2030 Social Determinants of Health Outcomes)
- Every person earns a steady income, allowing them to meet their health and housing needs.
- Every person has stable, safe, accessible, affordable housing as a renter or homeowner.
- Every person has equitable social and community support.
- Households have and use financial literacy skills to access equitable savings resources for emergencies, retirement, and education.
- Communities are equipped to respond to disasters, rebuild more robustly, and prepare for future disasters.
- Everyone has equitable access to medications, diapers, toiletries, and other household goods to meet their health, well-being, and education needs.
- Every child grows up in a safe and stable environment where trust among families, communities, partners, and governments is built proactively to prevent and address child abuse and neglect.
- End hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and secure locally sustainable agriculture practices.
Health
A society in which all people can achieve their full potential for health and well-being across their lifespan through effective health services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine and public health (Pima County Health Department)
